With mintBlue's Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform and Dockflow's logistics enablement platform, the freight community will be taken to the next level of efficiency and transparency. There are many benefits to this collaboration, but two stand out particularly - enabling data ownership and facilitating nature restoration contributions.
Logistics and supply chain are driven by many (usually over 30) parties sharing information on a daily basis, which means that all parts of the system must work together without fail. Even though everyone contributes to the data puzzle, ownership is what allows them to monetize it. As a result of mintBlue's partnership with Dockflow, shippers, forwarders, carriers, and other parties can have ownership of their data, allowing them to authenticate, share, and monetize it without losing control. They can also leverage this robust data for competitive advantage or complex collaborations. Additionally, they can track CO2 emissions, plant trees, and consistently contribute to other activities that help protect the environment.

As a result of the blockchain hype in logistics and supply chains, solutions were often more focused on technical implementation than usability, data quality, and value to businesses. Combined with mintBlue and Dockflow, this is no longer the case. Dockflow is better equipped to eliminate distrust in the supply chain by connecting to mintBlue.
Blockchain technology also enables businesses to strengthen sustainability initiatives, meet regulatory requirements, and respond quickly to growing customer demand for environmentally friendly products and services as emissions tracking and carbon compensation become increasingly necessary for supply chains.
Dockflow and mintBlue previously collaborated on a project initiated by the Belgian government regarding blockchain in supply chains. As part of the collaboration, mintBlue served as the blockchain expert, and Dockflow acted as a logistics/supply chain innovator. Pieter says their concerted effort was so successful that the two companies continued collaborating even after the project.
