Denver, Colorado-based Pluto Biosciences has successfully raised $3.7 million in a seed funding round led by Silverton Partners from Austin, Texas. This SaaS platform offers a cutting-edge life sciences software that helps scientific teams manage their biological data efficiently, and also provides an interactive canvas for analyzing and visualizing complex biological data sets using no-code computational biology pipelines.
The funding will be used to expand Pluto's innovative platform by building out its product and go-to-market teams and developing advanced product features. With the new investment, Pluto aims to break down the obstacles that have traditionally prevented the widespread use of computational biology, including the need for compute infrastructure and black box "pipelines," while empowering scientists to play an active role in their scientific discoveries.
Rani Powers, Ph.D., CEO and Founder of Pluto Biosciences, said that the company is confident that the investment will accelerate Pluto's growth and enable the company to reach even more organizations in the life sciences industry. “With Silverton Partners' support, we will be able to increase sales velocity with the ultimate goal of transforming the way life sciences research is conducted.”
Pluto's innovative approach to managing biological data using no-code computational biology pipelines is a significant step towards empowering scientific teams and transforming how life sciences research is conducted. The successful seed funding round is a testament to the growing interest in Pluto's platform and the potential for computational biology to revolutionize the life sciences industry.
