Artisio - a complete auction management solution company based in London, raised £250K in pre-seed funding. The investment round was led by Jenson Funding Partners – an early-stage venture capital company. Artisio plans to reach a global auction market with a focus set on the US and to introduce a self-onboarding platform to expand and increase the process for new clients. The funding will support and enable Artisio in its full automation goal, which implies that auction businesses will be able to perform tasks and bid in an all-in-one adapted to the particular needs admin panel.
Within the industry, there are many verticals that need to be accounted for, but there’s a lack of solutions that can be used across the board. We’re excited to develop a solution that can be used by all verticals in the auction industry, streamlining time-consuming and complicated processes. - Founder and CEO of Artisio, Berdia Qamarauli
The company was founded in 2020 with a core mission to introduce the next level of technology to the auction industry. In an industry where innovation is not frequently encountered, Artisio provides front-to-back auction management software solutions. The company enables businesses to run online auctions and bidding, allowing them to monitor, track, and analyze everything in real-time.
The usual practices within the auction industry include multiple services for clients, and manually entering sale information from different vendors in order to upload it to back-office systems. Frequently, the working process is inefficient and requires a certain amount of time. Because of the multiple streams of data managed on third-party systems,30 to 40 minutes can be required in order to process a single lot from receipt to payment.
With the help of the raised funding, Artisio will leave an innovative trace in the auction industry, completely transforming an important part of the working process.
The auction industry like any other has its own list of unique problems, but a notable lack of solutions. Artisio is disrupting this legacy sector with a product made for auction houses, by a team that has experienced the problems first-hand. - Sarah Barber, CEO of Jenson Funding Partners
Founded in 2012, Jenson Funding Partners have invested over £21 million in more than 125 entrepreneurial UK businesses. The venture capital company’s portfolio of investments is characterized as diverse, and Artisio’s innovative approach contributes to maintaining this diversity. Until now, Artisio has signed up 15 auction businesses and onboarded four international clients, including 167-year-old London rare stamp dealer Stanley Gibbons.
