Rise In, a leading educational platform that equips web2 developers with the tools for web3, continues its mission to nurture the global workforce's transition into blockchain and web3. In a significant expansion move, the platform has acquired BlockBeam, a prominent U.S.-based ed-tech company specializing in web3 education, with deep-rooted connections to 90+ university blockchain clubs, including esteemed institutions like the Princeton Blockchain Club, Blockchain at Berkeley, and Harvard Blockchain.
Rise In, known for its ambition to become the premier destination for web3 learning and development, offers free web3 education in collaboration with the world's most prominent blockchain ecosystems. The acquisition of BlockBeam extends the platform's reach to some of the world's most prestigious colleges and universities, marking a pivotal step in nurturing the next generation of web3 developers in the United States.
Gulcan Yayla, Co-founder, and CEO of Rise In, expressed, "Our encounter with BlockBeam in 2022 revealed a shared commitment to provide developers with a structured and accessible onboarding process into the realm of blockchain and web3. Witnessing the same dedication within the BlockBeam team and their strong affiliations with university clubs prompted our acquisition decision. This strategic move enables us to connect our partners with some of the most exceptional web3 talent globally."
Drew Cousin, Co-Founder of BlockBeam, added, "It was imperative for us that any acquirer not only continue our mission but enhance the value that BlockBeam has brought to both talent and our partners. We eagerly anticipate Rise In's commitment to creating opportunities for talent and businesses, further accelerating their expansion within the U.S. using our assets."
Rise In, launched in September 2023 by Turkish-founded Patika.dev, boasts a robust e-learning and bootcamp management platform with over 200,000 web2 developers, a number that continues to grow each month. To date, they have successfully onboarded over 25,000 of these developers, hailing from 90+ countries, into web3 through an array of online courses and bootcamps. Their educational programs span from introductory blockchain training to advanced, chain-specific courses in Solidity, Rust, and Substrate development. All these courses and bootcamps are provided to developers free of charge, primarily through the support of web3 protocols that recognize the need to nurture these talents.
Rise In has established key partnerships with industry heavyweights such as Solana, BNB Chain, Polkadot, Sui, Internet Computer, Ethereum Foundation, and more. Successful graduates benefit from seamless integration into developer grants, bounty programs, hackathons, job opportunities, and comprehensive venture-building support. Rise In is also gearing up to launch an internship program, particularly catering to college students, who constitute 31% of bootcamp applicants.
BlockBeam is renowned for its role in guiding college students across the United States through the complex web3 job landscape. The company offers expert career advice and comprehensive online skills training to empower learners to secure their first web3 jobs.
Through this strategic acquisition, Rise In plans to incorporate approximately 1,000 web3 developers from the U.S. into its platform. Notably, recruiting developers in the U.S. is often more challenging than in other regions like India. Moreover, the collaboration will grant Rise In access to BlockBeam's pre-existing university partnerships. United by their common goals, Rise In and BlockBeam aim to create an unparalleled learning and career-building experience for developers entering the world of web3.
