bp Ventures and Dynamon: Driving Green Mobility with £4M Investment

bp Ventures Powers Greener Transport with £4M Greener Roads Ahead Dynamon's EV Software

In a significant move towards greener transport solutions, bp Ventures has invested £4 million in Dynamon, a leading provider of software for commercial transport and logistics companies. This strategic partnership aims to bring Dynamon's cutting-edge simulation and data analytics tools to bp pulse customers, empowering them to effectively manage their electric vehicle (EV) fleets.

Dynamon's flagship software, ZERO, has already demonstrated impressive results in a 4,000-vehicle last-mile trial. By analyzing fleet electrification options, ZERO identified a staggering potential £22 million annual energy cost saving and an annual CO2 reduction of 8,700 tonnes.

This funding marks a crucial milestone for Dynamon, as it accelerates the commercialization and scaling of its platform in the UK and expands operations into Europe and North America.

Gareth Burns, Vice President of bp ventures, highlights the alignment of this investment with bp's ambition to achieve net-zero status by 2050 or sooner. By supporting Dynamon, a company that drives the transition to lower carbon energy fleets through data science and software as a service, bp is taking strides toward a more sustainable energy future.

The partnership extends beyond funding, as Dynamon and bp inked a commercial agreement to leverage ZERO's capabilities and similar tools. This collaboration enables bp pulse to diversify its fleet offerings and enhance its premium customer experience, further promoting the adoption of EV solutions.

As bp continues to invest in its transition growth engines, including EV charging, it solidifies its commitment to becoming an integrated energy company. With this forward-thinking collaboration, bp and Dynamon are propelling the journey toward a greener, more sustainable future for the transportation industry.
